If music is indeed a universal language, then singer/songwriter, rising entertainment icon and Top Model, Brandon Jerrod has a lot of explaining to do worldwide, and that’s just the way he wants it. This modern, Harlem, NYC renaissance man was raised in the blues and house music infused city of Chicago and bred in the Hollywood of the South, Atlanta. This triple threat performer has known that spotlights were meant to illuminate his skin and center stage would always feel like home since his formative years. His musical journey, including the quintessential romp through lineups of boy bands, has afforded him the opportunity to foster an internationally eclectic style and sound that rivals his contemporaries including Miguel, Adam Lambert and Janelle Monae – unabashedly.
Influenced by others who loathe the status quo like Prince, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown, Brandon Jerrod’s performance package is an amalgamation of stunning style, provocative presentation and lyrics that will ignite airwaves and venues around the world. “It may sound cliché, but music is my system of survival and performing is undoubtedly my lifeline. Seriously, my style has been influenced by music and I’m able to find melody in almost anything.” Not to be glossed over, the now New York resident stops traffic, literally, with his perfectly executed wardrobe and conversation sparking coif. “Life isn’t a dress rehearsal,” he laughs, “so I always dress as if the curtain is up and the cameras are rolling.”
2018 took Brandon on an unexpected new journey into the fashion world breaking height and image barriers as a much sought after editorial, print and runway model. Signing to 3 US and International Modeling agencies, Brandon can be been seen in top fashion magazines with features in the likes of Vogue Italia over 5 times and counting along with a slew of other covers and full page multi spread editorials from international fashion and beauty publications around the world. It's no surprise that in 2021 he snagged the Award for Best Editorial Model at Indie Fashion Calendar's Indie Fashion Awards Gala. 2020 also saw Brandon's music career reach new heights and visibility taking home the win for Best Music Video for the fashion/music visual to his single "Overtime" at the 2020 Hudson International Film Festival. His sultry vocals and electric performances promise to deliver the unexpected. Brandon Jerrod is boldly making strides in the music AND fashion industries and invites you to join him on his journey. “I’m letting myself go, no boundaries...I’m in full flight right now”.
